Oh Yeah, she was taking
me over, and Oh yeah, it was the start of the summer.
The rest of the intro
is the backing singer singing na, na, na nah. (etc). The chord sequence
is E, A, Am, C, G, A, DsE, C. The DsE means you should slide from
a D-powerchord to an E-powerchord, you dont have to do this, you can simply
play 'D', but it's what the keyboard plays, and it sounds pretty cool :)
The ooh ahh, OOH AAh bit is Esus4, E7, E13, E7 and then it goes into the
verse.

Her Bee stung lips, kisses
sweeter than wine, the things she wispered with breathless sighs,
D
A
B
E
The summer air was soft
and warm, her eyes were making slent demands.
B
C#
As her hair came undone
in my hands
SECOND VERSE:
Driving her home. after
midnight, i felt so good, everything was alright, her thoughts seemed lost,
in the night sky, i remember everything.
I dont know why these
things ever end, i sometimes wish it was that summer again.
I still see her in my
sleep, and hear the sighing of the summer wind, still i dont regret one
thing.
Chorus:
E A
Am* C
G Am
D
C
Oh yeah, she was taking
me over, and oh yeah it was the start of the summer
E A
Am* C
G
Am D
C
Oh yeah she was taking
me over, and oh yeah, it was the start of the summer.
After playing these two
lines you do the 'ooh, ahh' bit. The reason this sounds different
in the chorus just before the solo is that the bass is playing a higher
'E' note than usual.
Solo:
This solo isn't that
hard and is one of the few i can play with any success. A wah-wah
pedal inst really essential, but it helps!. This will be a
once-off, i promise, but when i tried to format the solo everything went
wrong!, so i wrote it out on a sheet, and scannes it, its fairly low quality,
for size reasons, i.e. good quality = 700k, this =70k, hope you can make
it out anyway!.
