Intro:

Just Strum an E powerchord followed by this:(RIFF1)

   E5                                          C#5           B5               A5                                   C#5              B5        A5
e-------12-----12-----12-----12---16-16-16--14--14--12-------12----12----12----12---16--16--16---14--14--12---
B--12-----12-----12-----12--------------------------------------14----14----14----14----------------------------------------
(This is repeated a number of times).

After the above sequence you play:

D-1----1-2-1-1---1-2-1-1---1-2-1------1-2-1------
G---------------------------------------4----------------
This is followed by a few strums of a powerchord and the singing starts, as shown below.

Verse:

E5*
The cars come up the drive, too many people inside.
                                   A                C#5      B5              E5*
Under the stars they smile, they want to invade my home.

I face the darkened hall, try to consider it all.
                             A                    C#5      B5       E(Into Chorus)
In the dull lamp's glow, and the truth is i don't know.

The * here indicates that the main guitar is only playing a palm-muted E5 chord for most of the verse.  At this time the bass is playing E, C#, B, it does that three times and then the main guitar comes back in with distortion and plays A5, C#5 and B5.

SECOND VERSE:
The cars stop outside, they all stay inside.  The house is drenched in light, butr what have i done wrong.
I quietly climb the stairs, I remember all the years, I check everything is right, I need to hurry now.

THIRD VERSE:
I've been preparing for days, i'll know exactly what to say.  No-one will be around, no-one will take me down.
The'll all get back in their cars amd maybe they'll go home.  Nut the things they'll never know, like where it is i go.

Chorus:
There is no real 'chorus', just the exact same sequence as the intro with the same riff played over it.(RIFF1).
