Intro:

E5, F5, E5, F5, B5, G5, C5, G5.

There is a little riff played over this sequence, a little before the singing starts.  It is played on the D and G strings.

G--------------------------------------4-4-4-4--7---5-5-5-5-4----(Played Twice, use some wah-wah and a phaser/flanger.)
D--2--2-3-3-3-3--2--2--3-3-3-3----------------------------------

Verse:
*                                                                 B5 G5 C5 G5  *                                                                              B,G,C,G.
Late September you walked into my life,                         I remember that autumn, I remember that night.
*                                                                      B5 G5 C5 G5  *                                                       B5 G5 C5 G5
The smile on your face, the pale, pale moon.                        All those good times left to come.

The * indicates where you should play the natural harmonics of the adjacent e, B and G strings over the twelft fret.  Natural harmonics are where you lightly touch, (and not depress), the strings, pluck them, and then lift your fingers off.  There is no distortion in this bit, until the B5 G5 C5 G5 sequence, you let the harmonics ring on and the bass plays E and F.

SECOND VERSE:
Awoke by a phone-call, one late night.  In my dream you had been going to die.  I felt so scared that I was going to lose you.  When i answered the phone, i already knew.  I cried bitter tears, you had taken your own life.

THIRD VERSE:
Down the corridoor to the bedroom, i slip inside, it's all alone, and alone is all i'll ever be, except at night, when you visit my dreams, and it tears my mind, i can't see you tommorrow.

Bridge:

This is the bit that comes between the second and third verses in the song.  I'm not quite sure that it has a set structure but anyway :)

(All on 'D' string)

D-2-----3---2------5----2----3---2---3--2--3-- Well it's something like that!, the second bit is just powerchords
Being moved up the neck.  The sequence is below.

F5, G5, G#5, A#5, B5, C5, C#5, D5, D#5, E5, F5
