Ballyfarnon is surrounded by a series of superb angling waters. For the trout angler, Lough Arrow provides one of Irelandís best fisheries. Coarse fishing for bream, rudd and tench is widely available on the famous Shannon and Boyle Rivers and a selection of very productive lake waters, namely Lough Meelagh and Lough Skean. The pike specialist will find a fighting stock of fine healthy fish eager to test  the sport fisherman.

Lough Arrow which is located on the border of Sligo and Roscommon, a ten minute drive from Ballyfarnon House, rates with the best in relation to being one of the premium Brown Trout lakes in Ireland. 

Fishing on Lough Arrow continues from late March to September 30th. Boats can be hired and a ghillie service is available.

Lough Bo and Lough na Sul near Riverstown contain stocks of wild trout.

Sea Angling is principally located at Mullaghmore, Rosses Point and Enniscrone where stocks include Shark, Tope, Ray, Huss, Dogfish, Monkfisk, Cod, Ling, Conger and Flatfish. Boats can be hired at these locations.
