Interests and Achievements

I am interested in horses, swimming, music and computers.
While I was studying for my degree I have learnt several programming languages:

Modula-2
C
UNIX
Assembly Language using the Motorola MC68000
KARL
Scheme (dialect of LISP)
Some ADA
SQL
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)

In my fourth year, I studied database management systems and data networks, network services and protocols and I specialised in Computer Graphics and Computer Vision. Computer Graphics was about Interactive Computer Graphics and Computer Vision involved industrial automated visual inspection, robot vision, 3-D image understanding and perception.

I enjoyed improving my programming skills and I am also interested in hardware. My project discussed designing and simulating integrated circuits using Mentor Graphics and CircuitMaker.

Since I am German, I am fluent in both German and English.

Work experience

Since I graduated I have been working for Gerry Pointner, who designed a website about fishing in three languages. I was working on the German webpages from home, since I have two children, I have enjoyed this very much. I would like to continue working from home, but in a more challenging area which involves topics I've been studying at university.
