There are many excellent pubs in the locality ranging from the traditional quiet local to those with entertainment. The pub is the social centre in Ireland and friends can be found and made here over a pint of Guinness or one of the many fine beers brewed in the country. Pubs of note close to the Coachouse are:
O'Sheas. A treasure trove for those seeking a glimpse of the traditional Irish pub. Doubling as a pub and hardware store (where else could you buy a light bulb and end up having a chat over a pint of Guinness?) this cosy and original pub must be visited. Located on the main street in Borris 15 minutes from the Coachouse.
Joyces. Another excellent traditional pub on Borris' main street.
Mannion's Country Pub. A beautiful country pub featuring a beer garden and Irish music on several nights each week. Lunches and (early) evening meals served. Just outside New Ross on the N30 Enniscorthy road 5 minutes from the Coachouse.
Ryans. An original and traditional 'grocery pub' in Graiguenamanagh. The 'grocery pub' is unique to Ireland, a link to the past which is disappearing fast, this is a must to visit.
The Castle Inn. Savor the atmosphere of this pub in the beautiful village of Inistioge a few minutes drive from the Coachouse. Fishing permits available for the Nore river here.
In The Rower village itself, less than a minute's walk from the Coachouse there is a local pub, Murphys, where all the local gossip and news about the local sporting passion, hurling, can be heard over a pint or two.
