Inistioge is a vibrant community with many events through the year, one of the most popular is the vintage steam rally held on the first weekend of every August.

Situated in the parish of The Rower and Inistioge, these two villages combine to make up the local hurling team. Hurling is one of the World's fastest field sports. If you have not watched it before, try to watch one of the local games to get a sense of this unique Irish sport in its heartland of County Kilkenny.
