The Coachouse is located in the peaceful sleepy village of The Rower in County Kilkenny. However it is within an easy drive of some of the most beautiful and unspoilt villages in the country. This is contryside which is dominated by three rivers; The Barrow, Nore and Suir, also known as "The Three Sisters".

Located on the River Barrow near The Coachouse are the villages of Graiguenamanagh and Goresbridge in County Kilkenny and St. Mullins in County Carlow. Further North along the river you will find Borris, Goresbridge and Bagenalstown, also worth a visit. |
The Barrow and Nore rivers join just South of The Coachouse and the drive up the Nore valley will take you to Kilkenny City though the picturesque villages of Inistioge, Thomastown and Bennettsbridge. |

The other dominant feature in the area is the County Wexford coastline. The can be divided into East Wexford running from Courtown to Rosslare, South Wexford from Rosslare to Hook Head and West Wexford from Hook Head to New Ross, featuring Waterford Harbour. The beautiful Ring of Hook drive takes in much of South and West Wexford coast. On this drive you can see delightful beaches at Duncannon and Grange beach at Fethard on sea. |

Near the start of the Ring of Hook Drive is the village of Ballyhack. From here you can take a short car ferry trip over to Passage East in County Waterford. The ferry runs approximately every 10 minutes during the day all year round.From Passage there are some beautiful drives round the Waterford coastline with many beautiful bays and coves. The village of Dunmore East is particularly recommended for its views and places to dine. |
