Four-shamrock award
from Doras: Doras, run by Telecom Internet is the most comprehensive
guide to what's Irish on the web. Doras rate their reviewed
sites in shamrocks, five being the highest possible award.
When CityNet was first reviewed by Doras, it was known as
the Cork City FC Unofficial Homepage. The following
is the site's latest review, which takes into account
the website's new name and look.
"This very impressive
unofficial site for Cork City Football Club includes the
latest results and fixtures, squad information, a picture
gallery, and even a video file of memorable goals. A downloads
section, several related links and a mailing list facility
are also helpfully provided. The site is updated daily.
This is a very informative,
easily navigable and well maintained site that serves
as an excellent resource for Cork City FC fans."

dot.ie Magazine, June 1999
|
After a great review in the previous issue, CityNet
featured again in dot.ie. This time it is in an article
titled "Munster On-Line" by Carl O'Brien. Again,
CityNet is not mentioned in the main article but
in a sub-article called "Making In In Munster".
5 of Munster's top sites are mentioned here, CityNet being
the only sport-related site.
"They may have been
losers when it came to the league this year, but they
have a winner of a Web site, documenting every ooh and
aah of their title campaign. Its download section puts
City faithful to the test, with a huge video clip of a
Noel Hartigan goal available. Definitely one for the devotees."
The other 4 sites in this section
are based on agriculture, tourism and the Munster Express
newspaper.

Irish
Times Website Of The Week: On Monday, September 20, 1999, CityNet was
the Irish Times Website Of The Week, and was reviewed in the
Sports supplement:
"It's already picked
up a clutch of website awards (from internet magazines
and the World Soccer Page site) so the people behind CityNet
might struggle to fit this gong on their mantelpiece.
The site was launched in February of last year, under
the name of 'The Cork City FC Unofficial Homepage', and
apart from all the regular features you'd expect to find
on a football site there's an excellent 'download' section
where you can find video clips of goals by assorted City
players, including Ollie Cahill, Noel Hartigan and Gerald
Dobbs."
