Tuesday, August 1st, 2000 - City Lotto

Cork City last night launched their weekly club lotto to raise money for the further ground development of Turner's Cross.

Last night's jackpot of a massive £5,000 was not won when the draw was held at "The Lough Tavern".

Next week's draw will be held on August 8th at 9pm, again in "The Lough Tavern".

The jackpot has been raised to £5,100 and tickets, costing just £1, will be available from "The Lough Tavern" and other usual agents throughout Cork City and County. Tickets for the lotto in the future will be made available from the club ground on matchdays.

The lotto, in association with the Cork City Supporters Club, is a great way for supporters to contribute to their club and see the benefits for themselves.

Further details can be had from club secretary Jim Murphy on 087-2834105.
