Report:
Cork missed to chance to go to the top of the Eircom League when they were held to a goal less draw by newly promoted Longford at Turner's Cross. The game was quite a dull affair with both defences well on top.

However it was Cork who spurned the few chances that were on offer. Pat Morley and James Mulligan both missed great chances in the opening half and in the final minute defender Stephen Napier saw his shot cleared off the Longford line by his own man - Pat Morley.
