Meeting point The car park of Glenbower wood
How to get there As you drive into Killeagh you will see the Old Thatch across from the Catholic Church.  Behind the Old Thatch is a drive way taking you up to the wood itself.
Is pre-registration required? No
Time of event From 2 to 5 PM
Duration The walk will take about 1 hour
Suitable for Most people.  There will be some steps involved, but no hill climbs.
Special Instructions Bring a packed lunch - there are picnic tables available if you want!

Please note that the Glenbower Wood and Lake Ltd., wish to keep the wood open to the general public therefore it is important that any organisation wishing to use the facilities of the wood should apply in writing giving details of the following:-

  • the name and address of the organisation
  • the date requested.
  • a secondary date. (in case of a prior booking)
  • the expected numbers of people takling part.
  • the expected start and finish time.
  • the nature of the outing.
  • name and phone number of the official in charge on the day.
