Eugene's Wolf Applets.

Welcome to my wolf applets. I hope that you enjoy viewing them as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I am looking forward to creating many more.

I have had an interest in wolves from an early age, when my uncle: the well known Irish naturalist and poet, D.J. O'Sullivan told me of the history of the wolf in Ireland, and of the shooting of the last remaining one in the late 1700's. He talked of it with such a great sense of loss that the memory has always stayed with me.

When I visited the Wolf Park Pages, recently, I feared that the same fate was going to befall the wolf in the U.S., but then I realised that it was not going to happen. Not while we have people like Monty Sloan and those other dedicated people at Wolf Park, to fight for the preservation of our wildlife. I say "our wildlife", because if the U.S. wolf was to be wiped out, the whole world would be poorer for it, in the same way that I am poorer today for not being able to see an Irish wolf, because of man's greed two centuries ago

I wish to thank Monty Sloan of Wolf Park, for allowing me to use his wonderful photographs in the creation of these applets and I wish to thank that great Australian web-page creator; Olly, for having the patience to put up with all my questions, while she was teaching me to create this type of applet. I wish also to thank "Destiny's Lady" for allowing me to use her beautiful backgrounds.
