Presentation of incomplete Bills of Lading

The 'on board' date of the transport document not being within the time limit allowed.

'Received for shipment Bill of Lading converted into an 'on board' Bill by notation without the notation being dated OR a 'received for shipment' Bill being presented when an 'on board' Bill is required.

Transport document not marked 'Freight paid' or 'Freight payable at destination', as required.

Bill of Lading evidencing shipment 'on deck' when not authorised by L/C.

Incorrect notify party or notify party address.

B/L indicating 'intended' ports of shipment and discharge instead of named ports.

Marks and numbers, numbers of cases or packages, weight etc. shown on transport documents being inconsistent with other documents.

The name of the carrier does not appear on the face of the transport document.

Incorrectly signed transport documents in accordance with articles 23 - 30 UCP 500.
