ISOE 3rd Mission to

Southern Africa

Sth Africa - Johannesburg

The Participants at the Johannesburg School of Evangelisation, gathered around The Lord

One of our outreaches took us to Modderbee Male Correctional  Centre.  Our sincere thanks to Felicity Bielovich (holding paper), Pastor Ernst Mőller (centre) and Methodist Minister Tshepo Ramathetse (far right) who facilitated our visit.  The prisoners testified to signs, marvels, wonders and miracles that took place.

Testimonies of Prisoners

1. "I can't believe this is my church.  I never knew it was evangelistic!!"

2. "The black guys in my cell were all raving about it."

3. "All I wanted to do was cry, because I felt loved.  They are wonderful people, and what wonderful priests.  They really care.  They treated us as equals.  They reminded me of my parish priest in La Rochelle when I was a little boy."

4.  "I loved the Irish priest (Fr Eugene Clarkson msc) who spoke to us about the wolf and lamb.  The wolf in me is now gone.  I have been touched inside of me."

Archbishop George Daniel DD (centre) visited us and concelebrated with Fr Peter (Sudan), Fr Fernaud (Congo), Fr Eugene Clarkson

and Fr John (Sudan).  Bishop George entrusted the new South African School of Evangelisation (inter-diocesan) to

"Mary, Tabernacle of the Most High."

We had the opportunity to meet many different groups in Johannesburg.  Here is Joe with the Leader of the Knights de Gama, who do wonderful work in South Africa.
