From
Rt. Rev. Dr. S.
Singaroyan
Bishop of Salem
To. Mr. Joe O’ Callaghan
and Miss Teresa Kehoe
Irish School of
Evangelisation
Dublin.
This is to send you my
appreciation and gratitude for your three programmes to our Priests and
Religious in Tamilnadu state in India. Your course to the Priests of the
Region enkindled their missionary zeal and gave them a clear concept of the New
Evangelisation. ...
Your Retreat to the
Clergy of Salem was new in its presentation and methods. ... Your insistence to
our priests on personal prayer, personal relationship with Jesus the Lord,
personal commitment to him, clarity on the concept of New Evangelisation, need
for the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the centrality of the Holy Eucharist
were very much useful. The use of the multimedia during the presentation helped
them to follow the thought with ease.
Your third program ...
evidenced maximum involvement of the participants both individually and as
communities. The religious priests, brothers and sisters were motivated in their
mission of evangelisation and were taught how to go about. They were so taken up
by this program that they have asked for subsequent programmes of similar nature
at different levels.
I recommend these
programmes of the Irish School of Evangelisation for other dioceses and
Religious Congregations in India and other countries. Wishing you all the best
and assuring you of my prayerful blessing!
Yours ever in Christ
Jesus,
Rt. Rev. Dr. S.
Singaroyan
Bishop of Salem, India.
