['Ecclesia in Africa'  (# 144)  Pope  John  Paul  II   14 September 1995]

"It is clear from the teachings of Pope John Paul II that Episcopal Conferences around the world should prioritise the 'New Evangelisation'.   All other Commissions Liturgy, Ecumenism, Communications etc must recognise their secondary importance."

The South African Outreach by the ISOE

We were really blessed in South Africa by the visit of ISOE team members.   The time spent with them was fruitful and empowering.   We were lead to a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus; a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Word, Eucharist, leadership, God's promises in our lives and lastly evangelisation today.

Both young and adult participants took an active part in the seminars and retreats and enjoyed listening to people who spoke with passion  and conviction.   We enjoyed sharing with facilitators who were living the Word of God in their lives and who taught us in a very practical way.

We will continue to pray for the ISOE.   May the good Lord lead you from strength to strength.   To Teresa and Joe, May God bless you abundantly for your generosity, your commitment and your courage.
