Churches of the Parish
There are three catholic Churches in Kilcolman parish. Kilcolman church is the oldest. Kilcolman church was built by Rev.Peter Cleary Parish Priest. It was built in 1830. Kilcolman was re-opened and blessed by Rev. Michael A. Harty, Bishop of Killaloe. It was re-opened on Tuesday the 26th ot July 1988. The reason for this is because to replace the materials and components which, after 150 years were nearing the end of their functional life, and make improvements were necessary, while  at the same time retaining the comfortable simplicity of the church itself within  its rural surroundings.

Coolderry was built straight after Kilcolman because of the famine which took place from 1845 to 1847. Rev.James Healy Parish Priest. The Parish Priest of Kilcolman, built Coolderry Church in the early 1850s. He was Parish Priest from  1844 till 1861. People were very very poor at this time and could not afford to build a church in Coolderry. Coolderry Church was built after the famine. Rev James Healy Parish Priest lived in Boveen, which is not  the case at the moment.

Ballybrit Church was built way later still. It was built either by Fr. Healy Parish Priests or either by Archdeacon O'Leary who shortly afterwards became Parish Priest of Roscrea.  Ballybrit  Church was built between the 1850s and the 1860s. It is known that Archdeacon O'Leary was Parish priest of Kilcolman from 1861 till 1871. Archdeachon O'Leary could be Known as Edward O'Leary either.
