The reason why and how we put up the parish website is for people to know what a great parish we have. We have sites like the Leap Castle, the most haunted castle in Europe. We have many things to show people from many different continents. They might be a bit surprised that a small parish has so much. Sixth class which are the Confirmation class helped with the project, we looked up all the information. We were the only class in the school which helped put it up. We got information from Mr. Lupton’s project which was done in 1994-95. We looked at some of the information he had done on one of his projects and we got information from one of Mr. Cunningham’s articles about Kilcolman a Holy place. He was once Principal in Coolderry National School. John Brady also wrote to the Bishop and he wrote back to us and we have his reply on the Website. We also wrote about the Bishop’s Pilgrimage Walk. We wrote about the churches of the parish, we wrote about the townlands and we wrote about the Saints of the Parish as well. Everyone got to write an article and nearly everyone got to draw a picture to go with his or her story. We made the Website by looking through articles which were done before, then writing them out in our copies and we would add some things ourselves. Then when we were finished we typed them out on Microsoft Word on the computer. We did work on Netscape Communicator to put it up on the Internet. We made tables to make it clearer. We did all the work ourselves. We took pictures of graveyards, churches and statues on the digital camera. When we would draw our own pictures we would scan them into the computer. We made animations on Paint Shop Pro. We decided to do the project at the start of the year. We put a lot of work into the project. We all worked together on the project. We are proud of our project. Every chance we got we would work on the Website. We are proud of everything we did. We also put the News Letter on the Website every time we get a new newsletter we will put it on the Website.
