Malin pulled away in the second half with points from Anthony Kelly, Paul Doherty, Danny Lafferty and another from Anthony Kelly before Naomh Brid pulled the deficit back to ten. Martin Lafferty then scored his fourth point which was added to by Liam O Neill who replaced Stephen Grant at full forward. The home side then found a second goal from nowhere but this was almost instantly cancelled out by a great strike from Anthony Kelly. Kelly and Michael McLaughlin were then replaced by Terence Colhoun and Jonathan Byrne before Naomh Brid were awarded a second penalty which was again converted but two points from Liam Lafferty and Danny Lafferty either side of a Naomh Brid point gave Malin a comfortable victory, final score ; Naomh Brid 3-05, Malin 3-15.

The eagerly anticipated replay between Carndonagh and Malin U21's failed to take place after Carndonagh were unable to field. This means that Malin automatically progress to the semi-final against Moville.
The under 12 girls had their first game of the year against a strong Urris side who won the contest by a score of 6-3 to 2-5. Malin GAA club are holding a charity dance in the Malin Hotel on Friday 8th June in aid of the James Connolly Memorial Hospital and the Malin Parochial Fund. Admission for the dance, which was due to be held on the 28th of March but was cancelled because of the foot and mouth scare, is £3 and there is a £50 door prize. All proceeds will be split between both causes. All tickets purchased for the previous date [March 28] are valid on the night.
Malin started the second half under pressure from Bundoran but poor finishing from the visitors saw them unable to add to their score. Patrick Kelly then began dominating midfield and after good work from Martin Lafferty, Brendan McGonagle got Malin's first score of the second half before a screamer from Paul Doherty inched over the bar. The visitors responded with two points before scores from Brendan McGonagle, Danny Lafferty and two frees from Anthony Kelly saw Malin take an eight point lead. Bundoran then broke away and scored a goal against the run of play, the first goal Malin have conceded this year, but the home side responded in the best possible fashion when Anthony Kelly put a free over the bar from forty-odd metres out. A wonderful move starting with full-back Paul Lafferty and moving on through Patrick Kelly, Patrick Doherty and Sean Kelly was finished off by Brendan McGonagle for his fourth score of the game. Sean Kelly then beat two defenders in the corner before hand-passing over the bar before Danny Lafferty emphasised Malin's dominance with the final score of the game. A great team performance from full-back to full-forward leaves Malin the only unbeaten team in the division, final score, Malin 0-17, Bundoran 1-05[8].

Malin reserves recorded their second win of the league after a hard earned victory against Bundoran in Malin park on Sunday. Played in wet conditions Malin were first to open the scoring with two points from Kevin Mc Geoghegan. Bundoran then registered their first score with a point from a free but this was cancelled out with a pointed free from Kevin Mc Geoghegan. Malin then started dominating the half back and midfield area and Brendan Mc Laughlin got on the score sheet with a point which was followed up by a point from Sean Venn. Bundoran then got their second point of the match with a free but Malin responded with a pointed free from Kevin Mc Geoghegan and one from Colin Douglas.Bundoran scored the last point of the half from a free to leave the half time score Malin 0-7, Bundoran 0-3.
Bundoran started the second half the hungrier side and it wasn't long before they worked their way back into the game scoring five points without reply to take the lead for the first time, but a determined Malin side didn't give up and responded with a goal from a free by Colin Douglas after he spotted the Bundoran keeper of his line. Bundoran then pointed again but Malin hit back with two pointed free's coming from Colin Douglas and Kevin Mc Geoghegan. Bundoran pointed again but Malin secured a three point victory with a final point from Jim Grant to leave the final score Malin 1-10 , Bundoran 0-10

Carn started the second half where they left off, adding two more points to their tally and were unlucky not to find the net, Stephen McLaughlin clearing the ball off the line.Malin looked to be in trouble at this stage but they started to get their game together and three points from Anthony Kelly kept them within reach.Two more Carn scores gave them a twelve points to six lead midway through the second half but then Malin took control, pinning Carn in their own half and set about reducing the deficit. The Malin senior team continued their 100% start to the league with a 1 point win over a very good Glenswilly side. Played in Glenswilly the home side stormed into a four point lead before Malin registered their first score with a free from Martin Lafferty. Malin then started to dominate and it wasn't long before Danny Lafferty got their second point. Danny Lafferty scored again after a bad kick out from the Glenswilly keeper. Paddy Mc Gonagle was next to get on the score sheet with a point after good running down the left wing by Damian Ward. Glenswilly then took the lead again with a point. Martin Lafferty brought Malin back on level terms with a point from a free. Damian Ward scored the last point of the half after a solo run down the left wing to give Malin a one point lead at half time, the half time score being Malin 0-6 Glenswilly 0-5.
The second half started where the first left off with both teams trading point for point. Paul Doherty was first to score for Malin. Damian Ward then pointed a free to give Malin a 3 point cushion . The home team then came back into the game hitting three points in quick succession to leave the sides level again. Martin Lafferty then pointed for Malin but Glenswilly hit back with another point. Anthony Kelly then replaced Brendan Mc Gonagle and scored with a free. Anthony Kelly then pointed from play followed by another point by Danny Lafferty to give Malin a three point lead. Robert Porter then replaced liam o'Neill up front. Glenswilly came back into the game scoring two points to leave the bare minimum between the teams again. They then missed their chance to draw level after hitting wide a free in front of goal. Glenswilly went all out for the equalising point in the dying minutes but Malin's defenders held out for what could prove to be a very important win, the final score being Malin 0-12 Glenswilly 0-11

Malin seniors and reserves take on Bundoran in Malin Park on Sunday 22nd April. This will be a big occasion for the club as Bundoran are one of the big names in the county, having won the senior championship on three occasions, most recently in 1979. Please come along and cheer Malin on. All support for the parish club is greatly appreciated.

The impressive Shaun Kelly opened the second half scoring with a point followed by a goal after a shot by Danny Lafferty was blocked down. Paul Doherty then got in on the scoring act followed by points from Danny Lafferty, Shaun Kelly and Paddy Kelly. Then came Malin's best score of the game Anthony Kelly received the ball on the 45 meter line and after a solo effort unleashed an unstoppable shot which hit the top corner of the Milford net. This then set Malin's Forwards on a scoring spree with points from Damn Ward, 2 from Anthony Kelly and one from Danny Lafferty. Jonathan Byrne then replaced Damn Ward before Milford got their first score of the Second half. Danny Lafferty and Shaun Kelly were replaced by Robert Porter and Martin Lafferty.Malin went on to Score a further four points, 1 from Patrick Kelly , 2 from Anthony Kelly with Malin's final point coming from Liam o' Neill. Milford scored a late consolation point but it was to be Malin's day with the Kelly brother's scoring 2-12 between them, the final score being Malin 3-19 Milford 0-9.

Training is started for all panels in the club. All training sessions will be carried out by club members who hold recognised coaching certificates and children will be supervised on the bus at all times. The club is appealing for more adults this season to get involved in the coaching of underage sides. It only takes a few hours each week and it would be of great benefit to the club and especially the youngsters. Anyone interested in helping out with coaching can contact Louis Walsh on 70687 for more details. The training times are as follows, Under 8s and Under 10s(boys and girls) - Sunday @ 12.00 in the Glengad Community Centre. Sean Mc Laughlins bus will collect players in Malin Town @ 11.40 and Malin Head @ 11.50. Under 12s - Saturday @ 11.00 and Tuesday @ 4.30 in Malin Park. Under 12 players will be collected in Glengad @ 10.30 and in Malin Head @ 10.45 on Saturdays. Under 14s- training will begin on Saturday 31st of March, @ 5.00 in Malin Park. The Ladies Under 12 panel train @ 2.30 in Malin Park. The bus will collect players in Glengad @ 2.00 and in Malin Head @ 2.10. All girls must be aged 10 or over. Training for the under 10 panel will begin in the coming weeks.
Training for the Ladies Under 16, Under 18 and senior panels begins on Friday evening @ 6.30 in Malin Park. Bus will leave Glengad @ 6.00 and Malin Head @ 6.15. New members are welcome to attend. Bus Fare is £1.
The Malin GAA Club Yearbook is currently available and is excellent value at just £5. It contains a host of information on the club since its formation in 1960, its recent progress on the field of play, in the development of Malin Park. Photos of Malin teams from under 8 up to senior level and pen-pics of Malin players of all age groups, both male and female. The book is an excellent read and anyone who has not yet purchased a copy, is urged to get one as soon as possible.
The Donegal GAA Yearbook is also available from any committee member and is priced at just £6. The book contains a review of the year from all clubs in the county and the Malin review is well worth a read.
Anyone who has yet to pay for their Mc Cumhaill Park 5 year tickets, is asked to do so as soon as possible.
