The roof of the new development in Malin Park has been completed and block-work of the outside walls has now begun and the sub-floors will be placed by early January at the latest. The building, measuring 18 metres by almost 30 metres, will hopefully be ready for use by June, 2002, and it will be of great use to any organisation who wish to use it, sporting or other-wise, within and outside the parish. To help fund this massive undertaking the club are launching a second £100 (127 Euro) ticket draw with £40,000 (50,790 Euro) worth of prizes, including two quality cars as first and second prizes and we would again ask the people of the parish for their help and generosity in this worthy cause. Promotional leaflets are currently being printed and will contain full details of prizes.
The 2001 Donegal yearbook is now on sale and is a must for GAA fans in the county. The book is priced at £6.30 [8.00 Euro] and is available from committee members.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot on Sunday night. The sequence drawn was 4,1,6,5,3,7,2. The £25 consolation winner was Ellen Farren, Glentoskert. Next weeks jackpot is £525. With the Euro change-over now in place the lotto will change within the next couple of weeks as the pound starts to be replaced in circulation by the Euro coins. A lotto will then cost 2 Euro {£1.58} and prizes will increase in direct proportion, ie, the weekly prize will be 50 Euro {£40 approx.} and the jackpot will increase weekly by the same amount. As always, the club would like to thank the local community for its continued support of the lotto.
Malin GAA club would like to take this opportunity to wish all its members and the entire parish a very happy and prosperous 2002.
