Malin GAA History

Malin GAA Club was founded in 1960. Fr Colm McGoldrick P.P was Chairman, Clement MacSuibne was Rúnaí, Joseph Gallagher was Cistroir. Malin Park was purchased from the Harvey Family in 1964, following a tremendous fundraising effort by a large committee. Páirc Cholmcille was officially opened by Séamus O Rian, Uachtaran Náisiúnta, in May 1969. Following a decade of great achievement the club fell into abeyance in 1972. It was revived and re-organised in 1983/84 with extensive drainage of Malin Park. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength. As well as a Senior and Reserve team, it now fields six juvenile and minor teams and three ladies teams.
