Research Services

Brinkley Information Services has been involved in funded research projects under the Telematics for Libraries programme of the European Commission. We are currently involved in preparing proposals for funding under the Fifth Framework RTD Programme and the MLIS (Multilingual Information Society) Programme.

Past projects have included:

• BIBDEL: Libraries without Walls: the delivery of library services to distant users
• EQUINOX: Library Performance Measurement and Quality Management System

The company's executive director, Monica Crump, has also carried out personal research for a Masters degree on Information Retrieval from the Internet, and further research on the impacts of the Internet on scholarly communication and information services. She has a considerable publication record having written several journal articles, co-authored research reports and presented conference papers.
