The ancient parish of Moynoe stretches
northwards from Scariff Bay, deep into the Sliabh Aughty mountains on the Clare / Galway border. No longer a parish on its own, Moynoe and the portion of the old Tomgraney parish north of the Scariff river, were joined to form the new parish of Scariff, about the year 1800. |
