John F. Kennedy

John F Kennedy was born in Brookline Massachusetts. He married  Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, to become Jacqueline Onassis, in Newport Rhode Island. He was elected President by Margin of  113.000 votes from a total of 69 million cast. Lyndon B Johnson was his vice President.

At 11 25 am November 22/1963 President John F Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline flew into love field Dallas on a flying tour of Texas. Kennedy was campaigning for President the following year and needed to drum up as much support as he could in a state where he was not well liked. Jack and Jackie Kennedy, plus their host Texas Governor John B Connolly and his wife Nellie, drove slowly through the smiling, and waving crowds. The car open top to allow the public the best of their handsome President and his glamorous wife. As the motorcade reached Dealey Plaza, at the far side of the city center, Ms Connolly turned to Kennedy and Said “you sure can’t say Dallas doesn’t love you Mr. President”. It was 12.30 pm. The assassination lasted a mere five seconds, Kennedy was hit by two shots. The first wounded him in the neck and back and the second blew away the side of his head. Governor Connolly was also wounded in the back and wrist. Jackie Kennedy tried to scramble out of the limousine screaming  “They‘ve killed Jack they’ve killed my husband”.

Lee Harvey Oswald was being charged with the murder. Oswald died in Parkland hospital almost exactly 48 hours after Kennedy. Many people felt that Kennedy was the hero who would shield them from a dangerous world.

Due to his untimely death, and the conspiracy theory which followed, Kennedy has become a hero of his generation, and is remembered as one of the greatest American Presidents ever. In reality he was over rated.
