The Rolling Stones

Hailed
as the “World Greatest Rock and Roll Band”. The Rolling Stones have
maintained a hard-edged, irreverent style, during a career of more than 30
years. The Rolling Stones was formed in 1962 by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards,
Brain Jones, William Wyman, who left the band in late 1992, and Charles Robert
Watts. All were born in England.
Mick Taylor replaced Jones until 1975, when Ron Wood took his place.
The
Rolling Stones have continued to perform and record and individual band members
have also recorded solo albums from the 1960s onwards. “The Beatles” won The
Rolling Stones a large following in both Great Britain and North America. The
Beatles and The Stones were influenced largely by American rhythm and blues.
The
Rolling Stones are named after a Muddy Waters song, were formed in London,
England, in 1962. By the late 1960’s called themselves “The Worlds Greatest
Rock and Roll Band”. The Rolling Stones have produced more than 35 albums. The
estimated audience of 3 million people brought the band more than 70 million
dollars from ticket and merchandise sale. Their first hit to be number one on
both sides of the Atlantic was “Satisfaction” in 1965.
On
the night of July 2nd
1969 former Rolling Stones Brain
Jones drowned in his swimming pool, at his home, Catchford Farm in Hartfield.
Almost
forty years on, The Rolling
Stones are still writing music, recording and playing live concerts, maybe they
have proved, they are “The Worlds Greatest Rock and Roll Band”.
