From Limerick, take the old Cratloe road and turn right for Woodcock hill, then left. Start at small car park across the road from entrance to Cratloe woods, this is at grid ref. R 517 614. Following the main track leads to another car park near the top. Easy route whichever way you go. Oatfield, further north (much steeper) is also shown.
