At
age 17 in the year 1921 Leo was assigned a new post of uilleann pipe teacher in
the Dublin Municipal School of Music. This was the first time traditional music
was taught there. The presence of the uilleann pipes on the curriculum did a lot
to elevate their image.

Rowsome

Chris Langan (1915-92)
was a piper, pipemaker and composer originally from of Rush (Co. Dublin). A regular
visitor to the Willie Clancy Summer School in Milltown Malbay during the '80s. This tune
was written out by Leo ... originally from correspondence to Chris after he had emigrated
to Canada. Thanks to Cranford Publications
