About Us

Steve

Steve studied in the Dublin Institute of Technology, Cathal Brugha Street since 1993 and graduated in 1999 with a Diploma in Catering Management and a Degree in Hospitality Management. He also studied in Griffith College for a modular Diploma in Business Computing, of which he has completed one third of the subject areas.

He has worked in many hospitality related firms including Irish Rail, Sutcliffe Catering and Dell Computers. In November of 1996 he set up a partnership (Wallace and Phayre) to carry out statistical analysis of a survey carried out by a major semi-state company with Trevor Wallace (who later was his best man).

He currently works for Siemens Business Services at Intel in Arizona and is studying part time for his Masters degree in Information Technology at WIU.

How We Met

Well, strangely enough, we met over the Internet! We are both fans of an Irish singing group, Anúna, and due to a prolonged illness last June, Allison was left with a lot of time on my hands, so she ventured into a chatroom about Anúna. Steve happened to pop in, and at first she thought he was too sarcastic!! But after a week or so we really hit it off! However, he could have been completely weird. So Allison’s sister Kerry and Allison agreed to meet him in Dublin when they were in Ireland on vacation. We met him for dinner, and just hit it off straight away. We both ordered the same thing, and we were finishing each other's sentences! From there, it has been a slow process, but now in the same country and blissfully married.

The Wedding

We have just had our wedding at Thornton Winery in California. The site was beautiful and we were very lucky to have great wedding vendors (Aglow Photography, The Victorian Rose and Steve Reynolds Live Music). We both had a great day.
