When the Enterprise Class at St Fanahans College decided to make local phone directory, they thought people might also appreciate looking at milestones from Mitchelstowns Past. The beautiful ink drawings in the previous page captured these in a light of their own. The class, an average of 16 years, utilised all the Information Technology resources available in the college. Funds were achieved by local grants and the kindness of local businesses, who happily greeted the idea of buying advertising space on the Phone Book. As a group, enough cash was raised to take advantage of a professional Printing Press. A total success, they express thanks to all involved in the production of the Directory, particularly The Principal, Mr Niall O'Donoghue, and of course the course teachers, Mrs O'Brien and Mr Lankford. |
