Templemore Lions Club was formed in June of 1993 having been sponsored by Thurles Lions Club. Our guiding Lion was Mr. Pat McCoole. Pats enthusiasm, commitment, experience and knowledge assured the very best start for the club. Pat later went on to become District Governor for 105-I in 1995/96. The club quickly established itself and with an active membership and excellent community support we were to serve and assist needy of our community.

Our 1^st your charter night held in the Templemore Arms Hotel was a huge success and was attended by the District Governor Mr. Dickey Vaughan. The membership presently stands at 29. We have a number of fund raising events. The most established one being a "golf classic" and an Annual Concert featuring well know Irish Entertainers. Our biggest asset is the wonderful public support we enjoy throughout Templemore and surrounding areas.
