| Hello,
grand to have you on this page. We wonder how you got here? Anyway, I think
it's time to start telling you a wee bit about The
Border House at Boleymount. It was built in
the 1890's right at the border between Counties Sligo and Leitrim in the
province of Connacht in the northwest of Ireland. The cottage came with
0.75 acres of land, which for us is quite enough to plant flowers, fruits,
vegetable and herbs.We, that is Gabrielle & Michael, bought this estate
easter 1996. From here we have a gorgeous view towards Benbulbin (526mtrs;
1730ft), Lough Gill and the atlantic sea. Sometimes we can even get a glimpse
of Croagh Patrick in Co. Mayo. Although we're here in a rural and very
boggy area, it is not as "far out" as you might expect. Sligo city is only
about 22km (14 miles) away . Surrounding villages are Ballintogher, Riverstown
and Dromahaire. So plenty of public houses to drop in to for a pint and
to get the latest news..
