Situated in Ballina the shop is within 100 metres of the lower stretches of the river Shannon. Across the river at this point stretches the 13 arched bridge which unites Ballina with historic Killaloe. There is access to the rear of the shop where the bait room and fridges are located and facilities are provided for customers to mix their own bait or select their preferred dead baits.

There are numerous top quality B&Bs within walking distance from the shop as are the famous Lakeside Hotel and the idyllic Kincora Hall Hotel. Tinarana House a 19th century Victorian mansion set in 220 acres of parkland on the shores of Lough Derg offers prime fishing from custom built stands built to serve clients of Tinarana house and the Angling Centre. Ailebaun house is a luxurious self-catering accommodation run by Kevin and Kay grimes. Kevin offers a top quality guide service for coarse, game and sea fishing and access to select areas for that personal best fish on Lough Derg. The Centre also serves the East Clare lakes which offer superb Angling for pike and coarse fish.

FISHING LOCATIONS

The famous chain of East Clare Lakes are situated approximatly 20km from Ballina. The Lakes are well serviced by stands and have easy access. Up to date information on which lakes are fishing best is available from T.J.or Noda at the shop.

The Scariff River, which flows into Lough Derg through the towns of Scariff and Tuamgraney, can be fished from harbours with easy parking facilities.

The  Nenagh River well known locally for its trout fishing flows into Lough Derg at  Dromineer.
