The Editor's views...

Welcome aboard!

Tá sé anseo! Tá fáilte romhat. Is mise Seán Mac an Bháird, eagarthóir an website seo. Tá siúl agam go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as "National League of Ireland Website", agus shílim go mbainfidh.

Well it has arrived at last. I've been looking forward to the arrival of this website since the day I first considered the plausability of manufacturing it.Just a few points to note for all visitors:

Please appreciate the difficulty in aquiring accurate information in the "NL Teams" page. Most of the profiles are based on last season. I have noted any known alterations. Tell me if you notice any incorrect information. Additionally because of the ludicrous difficulty in obtaining snippets of NL news, it is inevitable that certain news stories will evade me. Again, E-mail me to inform me of any NL news, irrespective of its presumed relevance.

I would really appreciate if you took part in the NL polls. It will surely prove intriguing to view who, according to the fans, will score the most goals, or win the league, etc. I may decide to stay with a NL poll for more than 3 weeks if the number of votes is insufficient. Obviously, voting once per poll is all that is allowed!

I have involved other websites in the profiles of the NL teams, and since a sizeable number of clubs have no website, the "Players & Profiles" and "Photo Gallery" options are not currently available for all clubs. I have tried to include as many links to other NL sites as possible, some of which may be no longer updated. Tell me if you have a site/photos/player profiles to tell me about.

There will no doubt be a mistake or two present in this site at some stage, and I would appreciate if you would tell me, especially if I have given some wrong information.

I hope to have regular Editorials. I hope people will comment on these and any little NL detail on the Message Board. There is also the eircom League chatroom (see link from main page), where you and countless numbers of other NL fans can interact live! There are no limits! Arrange with other fans to chat. Additionally, you can announce that you were here, on The Guestbook.

Finally, a brief summary of the main aims of this site:

-To create more interest and less apathy in the National League of Ireland through the Worldwide Web.

-To arouse nationalistic pride in the Irish visitors to this production.

-To focus minds on the damaging interest in this country towards a foreign product and to help develop a bold mentality against this product.

-To create a unquenchable desire among Irish soccer fans to see one possible league to follow, and only one, namely the National League of Ireland.

-To help give people more enjoyment when supporting the National League.

-To ensure that a wide range of up-to-date information is available to viewers.

-To attract foreign viewers and to afford them readily available knowledge about Ireland's National League.

-To use our native language through out the site.

-To help develop positive relationships and healthy rivalry among NL fans.

-To help rid Ireland of Premiership support and to help further the potential of the National League of Ireland.

Before I sign off, I must emphasise that this site is for you. Please tell me what you want and what you do not want. This after all, is your site. E-mail me.

That is it. I really hope you enjoy this site.
